Space Invaders umbrella. Apparently, Taito is lending these out from its arcades in Japan starting today, with a 30-day lending period. Would people really return these? I’m not sure I’d be able to.

Final Fantasy orb. Fifty of these were produced, and were given away as part of a Nintendo Power contest. eBay user felixollie won one of them back in 1990, and has decided to sell it for … no, actually, I’lllet you discover the starting price for yourself. Put it this way: given the choice between just buying this and fighting some elemental creatures in a cave to get one, I’d have to think real damn hard.

The auction includes the orb, a certificate, and the Nintendo Power issue in which the contest appeared. The crystal orb is definitely nice looking, but aside from the rarity, it’s kind of… something you could get from a mall kiosk these days, along with crystal unicorns and wizards.

The Poll Data Is In: Which of these games would you want right now?

May 09, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - News and Chit-Chat

This past week in our sidebar poll we have been asking you all the question “If you could have any of these games right now, which would you choose?”. 200 of you voted this week, and here is the conclusion. Only 7 of you (2%) voted for Super Mario Galaxy 2 on the Wii. 11 of you (6%) voted for Socom 4 on the Playstation 3. 27 of you (14%) chose the highly anticipated Grand Turismo 5. 30 of you (15%) would love to have the next Zelda game on the Wii right now. 34 of you (17%) voted for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, which was the favorite to win the poll in the early stages. 44 of you (22%) voted for Halo: Reach, and I am sure the Beta helped push that one up there. In the end the majority of you choose Red Dead Redemption, which had 47 votes (24%).

So the winner is Red Dead Redemption, and you will be happy to know that there is not long left to wait. There is now a new poll up on the side bar, and my colleague Eddy V came up with the question. Make sure you go ahead and vote.
