Dragon Quest IV for $19.99:

You probably have enough DS games, especially RPGs, on your plate already, but just in case you haven’t tried this one out yet, Dragon Quest IV is on sale at Amazon. I don’t see the game discounted too often, and it’s certainly worth it — hell, Torneko’s chapter alone is worth the $20!

One of the things that made Dragon Age: Origins so great was the amount of choice you had when building your character. Dragon Quest IX commercial for North America starring Seth…

Dragon Quest IX commercial for North America starring Seth Green. Having the co-creator of Robot Chicken and the voice of Family Guy’s Chris Griffin shill for your RPG might seem like an odd choice, but Nintendo is all about hiring celebrities like Beyonce, Patrick Stewart, and Nicole Kidman to push its big titles.

And in Japan, where Square Enix handles the publishing and marketing for Dragon Quest itself, the members of all-male idol group SMAP serve as the spokesmodels for the franchise. So Seth Green doesn’t seem like that odd of a representative in that context. Also, the commercial isn’t that bad! I’m just happy to see Nintendo flexing its marketing muscle for Dragon Quest IX.

Nintendo introduces you to Dragon Quest

June 15, 2010 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - News and Chit-Chat

Nintendo introduces you to Dragon Quest:

Hoping to match Dragon Quest IX’s success in Japan with the RPG’s upcoming Western release — it’s sold more than 4.1 million copies in Japan — Nintendo of Europe has launched a robust site that introduces both casual gamers and RPG fans to the franchise.

Along with the usual story details and how-to-play information, the site offers lots of screenshots and videos to explain nearly everything you can think of. You can even quickly customize a character’s face (very similar to the character creation process in the game), save your creation as a JPG, and post it to Facebook.

If you’re at all interested in picking up Dragon Quest IX, I strongly suggest checking the site out!
